Tlh Derwent Hotel - Tlh Leisure, Entertainment And Spa Resort, Torquay

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms weren't perfect; we found a dirty shower door and hair on the floor, but we could use the resort facilities while waiting for the room. The banging doors in the late evening were a bit annoying. However, the service was excellent, the staff were always friendly and eager to assist, especially at the Aztec Bar. The location was good, near the seafront and shops, but the rotten window frames were a letdown. The dining could be hit or miss, resembling a school canteen at times. Overall, the hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives for a stay.

The hotel offers clean and spacious rooms with all the necessary amenities, but some may find them a bit basic and cramped for two adults. The service is exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to assist with any needs. The location, though not obvious, is close to the harbor and a moderate walk to the town center and beach. Dining options are decent, but variety could be improved. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights alongside minor drawbacks.
